In Summer 2013, The Maze Family Fun Park opened a multilevel waterslide playground, called Outback Splash, stage 1 of a 10-year master plan. The name was selected based on the properties rural location and the new attractions water theme.
Following a successful launch and substantial media attention, that promoted the venue’s 10 year, $70 million, water park master plan, a number of our valued guests were confused about the current family entertainment park’s identity.
In 2014, a study conducted by the National Australia Bank identified that 9 in every 10 searches for our venue was for ‘Outback Splash.’ Only 10% of our guests were any longer referring to the park as ‘The Maze.’
While the name Outback Splash highlights the family entertainment park’s future intentions, to create one of Australia’s best water park attractions, the park’s dry activities, such as mazes, a giant jumping pillow, and Australian animal experiences are open all year round.
See you soon at The Maze… Sorry, Outback Splash!
